Employee Medical Examinations

To help ensure that employees are able to perform their duties safely, medical examinations may be required.

After a conditional employment offer has been extended for positions in designated job categories (e.g. Facilities, Public Safety, etc), a medical examination will be performed at Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥'s expense by a health professional of Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥'s choice. The employment offer and assignment to duties is contingent upon satisfactory completion of the examination.

Information on an employee's medical condition or history will be kept separate from other employee information and maintained confidentially. Access to this information will be limited to those who have a legitimate need to know.
