Dr. Larry Kuhar is a Professor of English at 正澳门六合彩开奖直播. Dr. Kuhar鈥檚 teaching and research areas include workplace writing and communications, Medicare, Medicaid, government insurance plans, commercial and property insurance, healthcare communications, literary postmodernism, rhetoric and original poetry. In addition to teaching a broad range of courses, Dr. Kuhar consults in a wide range of businesses and industries. Dr. Kuhar serves as a lead consultant for a Medicaid Training Program and has consulted extensively in Internal Audit and Underwriting. Dr. Kuhar has presented his work at multiple national industry and academic conferences. Recent presentations include presentations at Berkshire Hathaway Guard鈥檚 December 2018 and December 2019 national Summits, on commercial underwriting (2018) and personal underwriting (2019) respectively. Dr. Kuhar was selected to present at the prestigious Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) 2017 national 鈥淎ll-Star Conference鈥 in Las Vegas, where he presented on communications excellence and team building in Internal Audit. He has also recently made national presentations at the American Literature Association鈥檚 (ALA) September 2019 conference in New Orleans entitled, 鈥淩eified Minimalism: The Aesthetics of Epistemology in Denis Johnson鈥檚 Jesus鈥 Son鈥 and at the November 2018 ALA conference in Santa Fe he presented 鈥淗istorical and Personal Place in Don DeLillo鈥檚 Falling Man and Thomas Pynchon鈥檚 The Crying of Lot 49.鈥 Dr. Kuhar serves as a consultant in industries that include government insurance, personal and commercial insurance, healthcare, banking, IT and others. In addition to having an original play produced, Dr. Kuhar is an active poet who has published his work nationally, most recently with the publication of three healthcare-focused poems in the peer-reviewed journal Ars Medica and a presentation of four poems entitled, 鈥溾橦ow to Live in This World鈥: Four Poems on Work and Imagination.鈥 Dr. Kuhar received his bachelor鈥檚 degree in journalism and master鈥檚 degree in English from Duquesne University and his doctorate in contemporary American literature and rhetoric from the University of Maryland.
