Domicella Balice earned a bachelor degree in education from Shippensburg University in 1971, a Masters Equivalency in education from the Department of Education in 1975, and a Program Specialist certification in English as a Second Language from Misericordia University in 2004. She received extensive writing training through the Pennsylvania Department of Education Writing Project from 1984 to 1986, and became a state writing consultant for the department of education in 1985. Mrs. Balice has worked in the education field for forty five years and her experience includes teaching in both public and private schools. She also has extensive experience in developing writing curriculum. She taught ESL at a high school level and to special needs students. In 2006, she accepted a position at 正澳门六合彩开奖直播 in the Intensive English Program where she created a multi-level academic writing program which focuses on the individual needs of her international students. In 2015, Mrs. Balice developed, and currently teaches a course entitled ESL 001, Methodologies and Assessments in Teaching, for the MEDUCA Bilingual Panama Program at 正澳门六合彩开奖直播 for Panamanian educators. This class focuses on The Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol Model (SIOP) and academic ESL skills.
