Health promotion specialists or health educators focus on educating and encouraging others to follow healthy lifestyles. Serving all ages and backgrounds, health educators develop and implement programs that can help people better understand their health and wellbeing in areas that include nutrition, exercise, drug and alcohol use, stress management, goal setting, healthy relationships, navigating health and community resources and more.

Additionally, students in this program will be well-prepared to sit for the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) Exam.
